Dr. Rajendra Pavagada

With a Masters in Psychological Medicine, Raj has worked as a psychiatrist since 1989, initially overseas, then more recently in New Zealand. Trained in India, he works with a wide range of individual clients and has been published in many professional journals.

Dr. Han Chung
Lim

Psychiatrist

Dr Lim worked as a psychiatrist since 2019, after completing his training in New Zealand and obtaining his qualifications from The Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He had worked across different mental health services across New Zealand.

Dr Lim provides psychiatric assessments and medication reviews.

He specialises in the the treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions including ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and psychosis. He employs a holistic approach in providing individualised treatment plans for clients.

Dr Lim also consults in Mandarin.

Both a General and Forensic Psychiatrist, Lokesh works with a wide range of individual clients, with expertise in forensics, court reports and women’s mental health.

Lokesh works for the largest forensic services in the country and has achieved many credentials, including “best psychiatrist of the year” and has obtained 95% in his dissertation in MSc, the highest in the University of Midlands, both in UK.

I have 25 years as a clinical psychologist and work routinely with anxiety, depression and stress management. I work within several theoretical frameworks, CBT; ACT, Grief, Trauma models, Drug & Alcohol misuse and Relationship and Sexual therapy are some of the models I utilize.

For the past 24 years I have specialised in Women’s Health working exploring effective pathways for women to regain balance and wellbeing both within and outside of intimate relationships. I work with women who have experienced significant distress through losing sexual desire or experiencing pain within intimate relationships as well as working with women who have exaggerated premenstrual tension and menopause symptoms. These symptoms are often also associated with anger, anxiety, changes in mood, tiredness and sleep disturbances. I work with women adjusting to complex gynaecological conditions including diagnosis, treatment and recovery from cancer.

More recently I have completed my PhD in the area of young women and wellbeing and work with young women through the transitional years into adulthood. I am also are increasingly identifying how work place politics impacts on busy women’s and men’s lives and wellbeing and explore pathways to better negotiate the workplace.


Shona Harvey

Clinical Psychologist

Shona is a registered Clinical Psychologist from Auckland University and has trained in psychotherapy. She worked as a psychologist in the UK where she completed a 2 year course at the renowned Tavistock Centre in London specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy. At the same time Shona worked as a Senior Psychologist with young people and families.

Here in NZ with her own family Shona has worked in a National Counselling organization both in a management and leadership role as well in clinical practice as a Senior Practitioner. Shona is a member of the psychological societies in both NZ and the UK.
As a consequence of training as a Psychologist and training further in psychodynamic approaches and counselling technique, Shona believes that her skill is in adapting her practice to what best suits the client in order to achieve a successful outcome. Shona’s recent developments include certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy, EFT for working with couples which is a well researched approach to manage the emotional cycles of couples in conflict.
Shona’s areas of interest include; couples counselling and mediation, family and adolescent counselling, individual counselling for depression, anxiety and trauma (historical and/or current) loss, psychological assessment and therapies, work place stress and clinical/workplace supervision.
